The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-24
How often do you seek the Lord?
How often do you soak in His great love for you?
How often do you say, “Not my will be done, but Yours, Lord.”
How often do you bend your knee to the majesty of God?
How often do you open your hands, worshiping His holy name?
How often do you declare His authority over the ungodly thoughts shouting in your brain?
How often do you cry out in desperation, asking God to take this cup of suffering from you?
How often do you contend in prayer for those you love who have lost their faith?
How often do you ask God to fill you anew with His strength, peace, and love?
How often do you give yourself to God, asking Him to take over your fleshly desires?
How often are you thankful for His sacrifice on the cross just for you?
How often do you rely on God’s armfuls of mercy and forgiveness?
Again and again. Every moment of every day.
Remind yourself of your dependence on God.
Without Him we are sinful, selfish, and lost.
But with Him we are whole, found, and victorious.
