Appointed and Annointed

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

How do you see yourself?

Defeated or victorious?

Less than or worthy?

Demoted or honored?

Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us of our value.

Who God says we are.

Before we took our first breath, God set us apart.

God, who made all things, declares our worth.

His word is infinitely more important than the opinion of others.

Do you see this?

Do you see your value?

You must. You must cement it into your precious brain.

Because the firey darts will come.

They will come, trying to spread their poison into your very being.

Lies from others.

Jealous, hurtful words.

Or mere remarks not meant to be for your ears.

The devil will also try his hardest to influence you.

To confirm the fears he plants into your head, bringing your worth equal to a smelly trash heap.

Choose to believe the truth.

Choose to look at yourself through God’s eyes.

God sees you completely protected by His strength, purpose, and love.

Liken it to His armor, worn, yet strong as steel, covering every inch of your vulnerable self.

Pretend you are peeking through God’s armor, which covers you with His value.

His predestined value of you.

God’s protection over you is real.

Just like your truth as His beloved.

Marked to accomplish His work to the nations.

Trust God, obey His declaration, and believe your worth.

Will you partner with God today?

Simple Faith

Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. Psalm 25:12

Christianity is really very simple.

We are nothing without God.

Less than nothing.

Sinful, destined to live forever apart from God.

God created us. Loving us so much, He threw us a lifeline.

Jesus died in our place.

When we believe in this free gift of salvation, God is forevermore with us.

Abiding literally in us.

That’s the simple part.

When we choose God, He resides within our heart.

With God in us, why do we ever allow worry to peek out?

God will take care of it.

With God in us, why do we nurse our fears?

God is bigger than any fear and He is taking care of everything.

If we really trust that God is dwelling within us, His power is a billion trillion quadrillion times more than any stupid fear, doubt, or worry.

Remind yourself God is here.

God is here and He is bigger than anything you face.

With Him by your side, you can be filled with His perfect peace as you face whatever comes your way.

How dare we become so wrapped up with ourselves, we forget Him?

Repent and move forward with your complete trust in Almighty God.

Become so dependent on Him your mind is trained to immediately squelch fear with faith.

Going forward, replace fear with trust.

Replace unnecessary stress with peace.

Psalm 25 reminds us God will instruct us when we fear Him.

Will you fear Him, trusting His plan for your life?

Thank you, God, for saving us not only for eternity, but saving us from ourselves. We are nothing without you. Continue to remind us of your awesome presence constantly residing within us. With You continually on our mind, we can remain within your perfect peace as you instruct us in the way You choose for us. Amen.

Perfect Deliverance

I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

I don’t know about you, but I find this absolutely incredible.

If we ask, God will deliver us from our fears.

God, who created all things, will answer us, providing us freedom from our fears.

What are your fears?

Fear of the uncertain future?

Fear of a certain person and their reactions to you?

Fear of messing up, not being perfect?

Fear of people knowing the real you?

Fear of rejection?

We all were created for love, so not finding acceptance is huge.

Psalm 34 reminds us we must seek God first.

God gives us a choice to seek Him or not.

But when we seek God, He will answer us.

He’s alive, wanting a relationship with us.

That’s why He created you.

Delivering us from all our fears sounds great.

Here’s the thing, though.

When God answers you, delivering you from fear, you have a choice to go back or not.

Satan tempts us with the same fears as he knows us and our weaknesses.

He desperately wants to keep you sucked in with fear.

Paralyzed even.

Every time you are tempted with that fear, you must not open your hands to receive it.

You must cling to God’s promises, rejecting the lies Satan provides through fear.

Call on God and He will answer you, freeing you from ALL your fears.

Keep calling on God to help you and He will.

Whenever you call on Him, He will be there for you.

In fact He’ll never leave. 🙂

Fearing the Lord

Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will He instruct in the way that He should choose. Psalm 25:12

Are you someone who fears the Lord?

Fearing the Lord is not cowering in the type of fear we think of first.

It’s honor.

Respect.

Submitting to the One who created all things.

Putting God first and foremost in all things.

Knowing how small you are in comparison to all of creation, eternity, and God Himself.

I know we cannot always put God first, but you can think about Him and what He would want you to do.

With even tiny things like your response to literally anything.

Thinking about what God would want you to do brings security knowing you are under the shadow of His wings.

In return for placing God on the throne of your life, He promises to instruct you in the way He chooses.

And God chooses the best for you.

How do we know that?

Because Romans 8:28 reminds us that “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose“.

Walking with God, submitting to Him, brings us to God’s purpose for us.

And that is good.

Maybe your life has been affected by other’s poor choices.

And maybe you bear the brunt of that.

Remain under God’s instruction as He works everything out for good.

Through trials of your choosing or not, choose to remain God’s.

Confident He will work everything out for your good, because you love Him.

Sitting Dignified

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. Proverbs 31:25

Are you?

Sitting dignified in your place?

Sometimes in life, we are less than.

Lowered into a status we did not ask for.

It might be a devalued relationship.

Or a job.

Maybe you were simply completely misunderstood.

Or maybe, gasp, they hurt you on purpose.

So, you sit.

You sit up, back straight, in your dignified place.

You are not affected by the mud slung your way.

You do not care.

Why?

Because you know Whose you are.

You are a daughter or son of the Most High.

The Most High loves you.

He died for you.

He is always with you, every moment.

He hears everything, absolutely every insult hurled your way.

He sees everything, all their eye rolls or ways you constantly bend over to pick up broken pieces nobody else seems to scoop up.

He knows everything, all your hidden fears, your secret wants, your tears shed in private.

Sit up.

Tall and straight.

God has it, will have it, and has already had it.

All of it.

All you have to do is smile as you sit in your dignified place.

And for heaven’s sake, straighten your crown.
